We went round clockwise and the first part of the walk is walled off from the reservoir but quite a good view over it. Fishermen are allowed onto the concreted area (its such a pity walkers are not). The route then moves away from the water, through a little wooded area and then along a road leading into the village of Perry.
On the way into Perry we spotted a Buzzard flying over the road and then commented on the large murder of crows as we spotted a road named "Crow Spinney Lane" near the Wheatsheaf pub.
On the next part we had to walk through another quaint village, and we came past a farm with a strange resident..
Then back down towards the water for another short while before more woods and then back to the amenities area
It felt almost like being by the sea as the wind was creating waves so we sat by the shore for a bit.
It was a gorgeous day but a bit disappointing as to how much of the walk is actually on roads and not very near the water (all though there was some lovely woodlands and fields).
Muddy :)
I will definitely be going back someday but would either take a bike or a picnic as the amenities were not great especially as one of the 2 cafes was shut!
